“For the war has just begun” – those are the words that former Lineal Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder uttered when he posted a video on his Twitter account as he addressed his fans.

He not only posted the said video to update his fans that he “is in good spirits” but to signify that a third match with British superstar Tyson Fury is coming our way.

Lance Pugmire of The Athletic first reported that the former champion has exercised his right to call for an immediate rematch with Fury as stated in his fight contract. Boxingscene.com has confirmed it.

The second meeting between the two Heavyweights had a bilateral clause in the contract that would grant the losing fighter a 30-day window to call for an immediate rematch (as per boxingscene.com).

Tyson Fury stopped Deontay Wilder in their rematch two week ago (February 22) at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas to become the Lineal Champion inside seven rounds of battle.

However, Wilder insisted that the entrance costume he had made a significant factor to ‘weaken’ his legs which drew a lot of laughter and criticisms from everyone.

The third bout between the two doesn’t have a date and venue for the moment but as per Lance Pugmire of The Athletic, the venue is likely to be in Las Vegas still and the match might occur at the end of July this year.
