It was an almost same fate as Joshua suffered over a month ago, but his resiliency got him out of the wrong end of the result.

Top heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte eliminated fellow fighter and former undefeated Oscar Rivas in an eliminator bout to determine the mandatory challenger for the WBC Heavyweight Title through a unanimous decision win.

The win though did not come as easy as it seem because Whyte needed to survive a knockdwon he suffered in the 9th round when Rivas connected an uppercut and left hook.

But that knockdown was not enough to get Rivas the victory as Whyte has the better overall performance.

Whyte might wait a little longer though for his championship second shot because Joshua is still in the limbo due to his lost against Ruiz and earn a potential match with Wilder.

Dillian Whyte improved his record to 26 wins (18 knockouts) and a lone defeat while Oscar Rivas received his first ever career lost in 27 matches.
