Just days after the announcement of the Welterweight super showdown of Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman, another fighter from the same weight class gave his bold prediction about the outcome of the upcoming fight.

British boxer Amir Khan (33 wins with 20 knockouts and 5 losses), who just got off from a devastating defeat at the hands of Terrence Crawford last month, professed his sentiments.

Speaking exclusively to World Boxing News, Khan made a breakdown on his forecast, “For me, I just don’t feel Keith Thurman has got it in him anymore”, said Khan.

“I mean his last performance – I’m just trying to compare what Keith Thurman did against Josesito Lopez to what Manny Pacquiao did against Adrien Broner. What would Manny Pacquiao have done to Josesito Lopez?”, talking about the fighter’s respective previous bouts where Pacquiao dominated another American in Adrien Broner as to how Thurman fared against Joselito Lopez.

Khan continued, “Pacquiao still seems young and strong, even though he’s 40. We all know Manny is exciting and very hard to beat. Look how Manny dealt with Adrien Broner. He out-boxed him and made it look so easy.”

“I swear Manny looks like a young fighter still. He also still fights like a young fighter. I think Keith Thurman is in for a lot of problems when they fight.”

King Khan was recalled to be one of Pacquiao’s sparring mate during training camps back when he was still under Freddie Roach’s guidance in the Wild Card Gym and he surely knows how the ‘Pacman’ operates inside the ring.

“I just don’t think Keith’s power is going to make a big difference against Pacquiao. It won’t cause Manny any problems and it’s nothing he hasn’t seen before. Manny has the speed and Keith is very one-paced. I think that will suit Manny Pacquiao.”

And summing up his fight prognosis, Amir Khan wrapped it up by leaving a strong statement saying, “For me, I believe Manny will beat Thurman quite easily. It will be an easy fight for Pacquiao because he’s got so much speed and skill.”
