The Boston Celtics had a wonderful Merry Christmas in Canada after beating the Toronto Raptors, 118-112 in their home floor at Scotiabank Arena and got their 4th straight win and 21st overall.

Jaylen Brown led the C’s in their first ever win in Toronto since 2015 with the game-high 30 points plus 6 rebounds and 4 assists, 5 of which came from the three-point line. Kemba Walker added another 5 long-range bombs en route to 22 markers.

After being down by 10 early in the first quarter, Boston bounced back immediately to take a 9-point lead (28-19) going into the second period. Then, they kept the defending champions at bay during the second quarter to maintain an 8-point advantage going at the interval.

But when the third quarter commenced, the visiting team poured on a three-point clinic to outscore Toronto by 11 points and take a commanding 88-69 heading to the final period. Boston held on and gifted Toronto a rude Christmas day loss.

Fred VanVleet top scored his team with 27 points while Chris Boucher produced another 24 off the bench for the Raptors who were missing key players Pascal Siakam and big man Marc Gasol after both players suffered a groin and hamstring injury respectively in their game against Detriot last week.

Veteran point guard Kyle Lowry finished with 12 points while Serge Ibaka had a respectable game of 12 points.
