Just before free agency hit on July 1, move after move are being made in one of the busiest summers in NBA history.

An era officially ended for Memphis Grizzlies as they traded Mike Conley, the only remaining face of their franchise to the Utah Jazz.

It was first reported by Sharms Charania of the Athletic and was further detailed by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

In exchange for Conley, Memphis receives Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, 23rd pick in this year’s draft and another first round draft pick.

The 12-year Grizzlies point guard out of Ohio State and was picked 4th overall in the 2007 draft is finally moving out of Memphis. Last season Conley averaged 21.1 points, 6.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds per contest. He also has collected a career average of 14.9 points, 5.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds.

Memphis previously dealt a superstar in a trade by shipping the spanish big man Marc Gasol last February to the eventual champions Toronto Raptors for Jonas Valanciunas C.J. Miles, Delon Wright and a second round 2024 draft pick.

Mike Conley is bound to team up with young sensation Donvan Mitchell, defensive specialist Rudy Gobert and sharp shooter wing Joe Ingles to put up a strong line up that push them deep in a playoff run.

Conley appeared in seven postseason run with the grit and grind from 2011 to 2017 where their best outing was in 2013 when they have reached the Western Conference Finals but was unfortunately swept by the San Antonio Spurs.
